ARC-PSe Front

The ARC-PSe provides serial control and power distribution over standard CAT5/6 cable for systems with more than 4 ARCs, or, when any number of ARCs are located long distances from a DSP unit. A half-rack form factor conserves rack space, or, if preferred, the ARC-PSe may be surface mounted. The incoming serial control signal coming from the DSP is received by the ARC-PSe on a RJ-45 input connector, and then power and signal are distributed via 8 RJ-45 output connectors. The use of off-the-shelf CAT5/6 cable and RJ-45 connectors reduces installation time and materials costs.

Number of ARCs Supported The power draw is dependent upon ARC types used, number of each type, and total cable length. At least 8 ARC-2e with 800 feet / 243 meters of cable supported.

Ventilation Maximum recommended ambient operating temperature is 30 C / 86 F. Ensure that the left and right equipment sides are unobstructed (5.08 cm / 2 in. minimum clearance). The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.

Architect and Engineer Specifications: ARC-PSe.

The half rack wall panel power supply shall provide one ARC in and eight ARC out ports on RJ45 connectors. The device shall function as a power supply and RS-485 data router for Symetrix ARC wall panels using standard CAT5/6 cable.

The rear panel shall also include an indicator for POWER.

The device shall have locking power plug that accepts power from Mean Well power supply part number GS25A24-P1J fitted with a Switchcraft part number 767K plug or suitable 24 VDC /1 Amp auxiliary power source. The device shall meet CE safety requirements and comply with CE and FCC Part 15 emissions limits. The device shall be RoHS compliant. The included external power supply shall be UL and CE marked. The chassis shall be constructed of cold rolled steel, and may be surface mounted or mount into a standard 19” 1U EIA rack using the included rack mount kit. The device shall be a Symetrix ARC-PSe.
