Cuban coffee. Interesting people. Great products. And a new award for the trophy wall. The Symetrix booth at InfoComm 2019 had all this and more.
You might have seen some new faces at our InfoComm booth this year, including new owners Mark and Rachelle Graham, Sales Operations Manager Ty Robinson, Western Regional Sales Manager Scott Wrege and Director of Engineering and Technology John Noble. These new additions to the team, with experience from both inside and outside our industry, are helping to generate a lot of positive energy in the Symetrix family.
Before the show started, we hosted our dinner/meeting at Orlando’s Ceviche Restaurant, part of the historic Church Street Station. Over delicious tapas, we discussed Symetrix’s new strategy and direction, what we like to call “Symetrix 2.0”. We also found time for smoking cigars on the patio to wrap up a beautiful evening.
Back at the convention center, one of the popular elements of the Symetrix booth was Cuban coffee. And a lot of it! We thought it would be a fun nod to the Cuban culture of Florida, and our fans agreed. We didn’t quite hit 1,000 cups of coffee, but we came close, including a lot of repeat customers.
The booth’s two demo stations included AVoIP and room-combining solutions. The audio, video and control for the AVoIP demo was all over a local network and demonstrated paging integration, end-user control and 3rd party integration. Our video wall demo showed how easy it is to use Symetrix as the heart of the system for multiple video, audio and control routing capabilities for room combining.
We were delighted to win the mondo*dr award for Best Bar & Restaurant for the Gibson’s Italia Bar, Restaurant and Lounge project in Chicago. Tim Pickett’s Encompass AV designed and installed the building-wide, multiple floor audio system managed by Symetrix Prism-series DSPs. Thanks to Encompass AV for this award-winning collaboration!
And another big thank you to all the people who helped make the InfoComm 2019 experience a success. Can’t wait ‘til next year!
